The Business Advisory Tax Committee will meet July 21 in Austin in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.030. The committee was established as part of the margin tax technical corrections act passed in 2007.
The enacting legislation requires the committee to conduct a biennial study of the effects of the margin tax on business in this state. Donna Rutter, chair of the TSCPA State Taxation committee serves on the committee as do four other TSCPA members. The public is invited to attend the meeting.
